This website is not directed to children under the age of 13. We operate our site in compliance with the Childrens’ Online Privacy Protection Act and will not knowingly collect or use personal information from anyone under 13 years of age.
While we do allow minors 13 years or older to sign up with our program through their Facebook accounts and directly on our website, we have gone to great lengths to ensure we understand and follow all Federal Laws and State Laws regarding minors use of our website. As a result we have pioneered and adopted a new cutting edge response to concerns about this issue.
As you will see below, a minor who signs up with our program receives an “unverified account”. This account must then be verified in 30 days or it may become inactive. There is no access to the reward center until the account is verified.
To activate the minor account, an email address must be given for a Parent or Guardian. Our system will then, upon prompting, send an email to the individual giving information about our program, stating our policies and requesting authorization for the child to participate in our program over the internet.
Only then will the account become “VERIFIED” and remain active beyond the 30 day period. This is new cutting edge technology that allows us to employ such features, and not one other fundraising company on the web is doing this.
Through our registration process we DO NOT collect address information from minors. Should a minor wish to have his or her reward prizes sent to him and provides a home address for shipping, this address will be collected when the minor exchanges his or her Reward Points for the item (upon “checkout”), and deleted from our files as soon as the item is shipped and verified as received through UPS. An email will also be sent to the parent or guardian on file to inform them of the shipment, and the original email informs the parent or guardian of our intent to collect the shipping address upon checkout and keep it through the delivery of goods.
